Folly Farm and the finalists were: Neyland Yacht Club Junior Sailing Team, Hakin United U16’s Team and Chaos Thunder Netball Team.
Neyland Yacht Club’s Junior Sailing Team (Winner):
Neyland Yacht Club’s Junior Sailing Team has set a gold standard in youth sailing, achieving remarkable success across local, national, and international competitions. They dominated the West Wales RYA Dragon Series and secured multiple medals at the RYA Cymru-Wales Youth and Junior Welsh Championships. Notably, they earned 1st place in the ILCA 4 British Youth Sailing Welsh Championships, 1st girl at the Welsh Youth and Junior Championships, and triumphed in the Topper Gold and Regatta fleets. Comprising sailors aged 8 to 16, their dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit exemplify excellence.
The Hakin United U16s Football Team (Runner-Up):
The Hakin United U16s, coached by Anthony Mayhew for over a decade, achieved an unbeaten season, clinching a unique treble: the Pembrokeshire League, Pembrokeshire Cup, and West Wales Cup. Balancing school and sports, they demonstrated grit and hard work during their GCSE year. Moving on to senior leagues, these young athletes carry with them the pride of an extraordinary season and a lasting bond of teamwork.
Chaos Thunder’s U12s Netball Team (Runner-Up):
Chaos Thunder’s U12s netball team has had a phenomenal year, remaining undefeated in the Pembrokeshire Junior League and winning the West Wales Regional Tournament. Representing Pembrokeshire at the National Finals in Cardiff, the team reached the top-tier Cup round and finished ranked seventh in Wales. Training together for three years, these girls exemplify dedication and inclusivity, thriving in a club that fosters each player’s growth without selection trials.
